One of the most ridiculous things for me was two local (Gisborne) police officers standing on the beach waving at a couple of guys who'd gone out for a surf, to get out of the water. The surfers took their time, and i'm glad they did. I'm not sure what happened to them, a reprimand i think.
But how crazy was that? People weren't even allowed to take part in physical activities that they enjoyed, that kept them fit and healthy, physically and mentally, apparently in order to 'save' our health system (who by all reports were not very busy at all). What if they got into trouble in the water and required rescuing? Or needed the ambulances that were sitting idle in the station? Golly gosh, how reckless those surfers were!
Like many others I'm horrified at the sociopathic arrogance of Ardern who's despotic lies created untold pain and suffering - and now she has the terrible gall to try asserting herself as some kind of arbiter of truth with the "Christchurch call". Enough!
