For the record: In Support of Simon Thornley (21 May 2021)
yet another unpublished letter to the Dominion Post and Stuff.co.nz
To the Editor:
I read with great interest Charlie Mitchell's article on Simon Thornley (https://www.stuff.co.nz/national/health/coronavirus/125035835/the-scientist-and-the-rabbit-hole-how-epidemiologist-simon-thornley-became-an-outcast-of-his-profession).
As a physician myself who is gravely concerned about the rollout of an experimental biological agent masquerading as a vaccine — an agent whose manufacturers admit will neither prevent infection nor transmission while, movever, there are excellent preventative and therapeutic measures (Ivermectin, vitamin D, hydroxychloroquinet) that render a 'vaccine' unnecessary in the first place — I think we should be honouring Dr. Thornley for his rational and heroic stance.

The attacks on Dr Thornley were prompt, unwarranted and potentially libelous.
Instead of debunking his work, ideas or theories, they instead attacked him and his person. They drew straw man arguments, such as his more recent work with scabies, and then used that to undermine the publics confidence in his opinions. Failing to recognize all of the other studies both formally undertaken through his life and education, and informally conducted as an interested and qualified researcher.
Such attacks only cemented my opinion at the time, that there was something to hide and a greater hidden agenda. Because you only attack a person publicly when you don't want to advertise their ideas or opinions. There is no other rational explanation for it in my mind.
